Capture and convert Clipboard contents
Look -- down on your desktop! It's a Clipboard viewer! It's a screen capture utility! No, it's SuperClip! All kidding aside, SuperClip is a Clipboard viewer AND a screen capture utility. It can print or save a displayed graphic image to a .bmp, .gif, .jpg, .pcx, .png, or .tif file -- or save text to an ASCII file. To capture the screen, you simply press the PrtScrn key while SuperClip is minimized. When the Auto print screen option is enabled, the captured image goes directly to the printer. Pressing PrtScrn also sends text to the Clipboard from DOS applications that are running full-screen in character mode. SuperClip lets you save the entire Clipboard image, or crop it before saving to disk or printing. You can also convert text to a bitmap and crop it. Additional options include the abilities to reverse the x- or y-axis; interlace .gif, .jpg, and .png files; invert colors; turn on .gif transparency; use .tif compression; and stretch bitmaps. The program includes DosClip, an associated utility that works with SuperClip to capture graphical screens to the Windows Clipboard from DOS applications running full-screen. A 16-bit version of SuperClip is also available. Reviewed on Apr 7 1998.
